1. Argentina Carnival: It is celebrated in February or March, depending on the year, with parades, music and dances in many cities in the country, with those in Gualeguaychú, Corrientes and Jujuy being the most famous. Each region of the country celebrates carnival in different ways: with massive events with floats; with percussion shows and troupes that parade through a corsódrome; in the neighborhoods with murgas, big heads, banners and stages in streets, clubs and squares; and also those in which the troupes tour houses and streets, where the public and the artists meet and mix, in a popular celebration.

2. Holy Week: Celebrated throughout the country with processions and religious activities during the last week of Lent, culminating with the celebration of Good Friday and Easter Sunday. The first days of April are marked by the arrival of Holy Week . The festival will begin this year on April 2 – Palm Sunday and will end on the 9th of the same month – Easter Sunday. Beyond the fact that the religious nature entails some common traditions, there are different ways to celebrate it in the world. This festival has a notable roots in the country , a consequence of the large Christian community that inhabits it, so that we can find celebrations linked to Holy Week in multiple parts of Argentina. One of the most curious takes place in the town of Puerto Madryn, in the province of Chubut – in the southeast of the country – where the traditional underwater Via Crucis takes place , and which will celebrate its 19th edition in 2023. The first eight stations are carried out in the city until you reach the dock, where professional divers carry the cross of more than 4 meters high and submerge with the priest, through a route of 500 meters under the water. . Once the circuit ends they emerge and on the shore the celebration continues with choirs and a large bonfire, which the community enjoys.
