National Holidays (September 18 and 19): It is the most significant celebration in Chile, it commemorates the independence from Spain in 1810.The festivities include parades, typical foods, folk dances such as the cueca and the traditional "ramadas" or "fondas". Here you can eat food such as empanadas de pino, anticuchos, mote con huesillo, terremoto, etc.

2. Day of the Virgin of Carmen (July 16): The Virgin of Carmen is the patron saint of Chile and is highly venerated throughout the country.The most notable celebrations take place in La Tirana, a small town in the north of Chile, where a colorful and massive religious festival takes place.

3. La Tirana Festival (July 16): It is celebrated in the town of La Tirana, in the Tarapacá region.This festival mixes indigenous and Catholic traditions, with dances, music and rituals that pay tribute to the Virgin of Carmen.
